EGCG is a catechin which is found in the secondary plant compounds of green tea.
EGCG is regarded as the supporting substance of green tea, which is said to have numerous nutritional and physiological functionalities. EGCG is considered an antioxidant and thermogenic and is often supplemented by athletes (especially in combination with caffeine) during diets.
