Short description of HCA

HCA (Hydroxy citric acid) is an extract from the Garcinia Cambogia plant, which is mainly supplemented during diets and to carbohydrates.

This high-dose HCA supplement is enriched with the amino acid L-carnitine, vitamin-like choline, inositol and chromium and thus contributes to the maintenance of a normal blood sugar level and carbohydrate metabolism.

What can I expect from HCA?

You should consider supplementing with HCA if you are on a diet and/or eating (highly glycemic) carbohydrates. For example, the HCA formula helps maintain normal blood glucose levels and carbohydrate metabolism.

So that the strong, but temporally limited functional boost of HCA does not fizzle out, you must adapt the quantity of all basic substrates to your individual training or diet goals and supply protein as constantly as possible throughout the day.

Functionality and mode of action of HCA

HCA (Hydroxy citric acid) is a spice extract from the bark of the Garcinia Cambogia plant (also Malabar Tamarinde or Indian pumpkin), which has been used as a seasoning in Southeast Asia for centuries, but has only been taken as a supplement during diets for several years.

Since HCA is also used in connection with carbohydrate-containing meals, the trace element chromium is also added, which contributes to the maintenance of a normal blood sugar level and metabolism of carbohydrates (as well as fatty acids and proteins), which is of great importance for a successful diet.

Peak HCA also contains the amino acid L-carnitine, which is necessary for the transport of long-chain fatty acids from the cytoplasm of the cells into the mitochondria, the "energy power plants", for ß-oxidation. The ß-oxidation comprises the biochemical mechanism for the degradation of fatty acids. Choline (as choline bitartrate), which supports a normal fat metabolism, also supports this process.

HCA is functionally rounded off by the vitamin-like substance inositol.
