L-tyrosine for normal thyroid function

L-tyrosine is a so-called semi-essential amino acid. Semi-essential means that the body can normally produce it itself. In certain life situations, however, it may be necessary to supply it from the outside.

L-tyrosine is the starting material formed the thyroid hormones thyroxine and triiodothyronine. These help in the production of important hormones that regulate metabolism and play an important role in cell and body growth. A deficiency can lead to fatigue, poor concentration and performance, hair loss, constipation, weight gain and depressive moods.

 

Natural combination of active ingredients

Thyroid Support is supplemented by the natural active ingredients olive leaf extract, Schisandra Chinensis extract, Guggul extract and Coleus Forskohlii extract.

Olive leaf extract may have blood pressure lowering and vasodilating effects, so this may help with hypothyroidism1.  
Schisandra extract is commonly used as an adaptogen to help regulate the stress hormone cortisol2.

Guggul extract, which contains the active ingredient guggulsterone, appears to stimulate thyroid activity and thus regulate thyroid function3.

Coleus Forskohlii is a tropical plant, also known as Plectranthus barbatus. In this regard, the thyroid gland may benefit from forskolin ingestion. It appears to stimulate the self-synthesis of important hormones.

It also contains vitamins B12 and B9, which are important cofactors not only for the thyroid gland, but for overall energy metabolism. The formula has also been rounded out and optimized with piperine for better bioavailability.
