Astragalus extract is said to have a positive effect on the kidneys, which studies have shown at least in people with various kidney problems1,2,3,4. In the course of kidney disease, so-called proteinuria occurs, i.e. protein is lost during urination. According to studies, the intake of astragalus leads to a considerable reduction of protein loss. In addition, fibrotic kidney destruction can be slowed down or the kidney damage caused by kidney inflammation can be reduced.
In addition, astragalus has shown indirect effects that can contribute to kidney protection, such as lower blood lipid levels or lower blood pressure.
Superfood Astragalus
Astragalus is generally considered a superfood, as experience has shown that taking it can have several health benefits. For example, it has an influence on the immune system and the circulation. The plant also seems to have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects and can prevent colds as well as heart and kidney diseases.
Astragalus is also said to have a diuretic and detoxifying effect. The extract is said to have diuretic and saluretic properties, i.e. it is said to support the excretion of water and sodium.
Kidney Support is supplemented by hawthorn and celery seed extract, which are traditionally used to alleviate nervous heart complaints due to their circulation-promoting properties and are said to gently support the cardiovascular function and thus positively influence the kidney tissue.
