In the course of kidney disease, so-called proteinuria occurs, i.e. protein is lost during urination. According to studies, the intake of astragalus leads to a considerable reduction of protein loss. In addition, fibrotic kidney destruction can be slowed down or the kidney damage caused by kidney inflammation can be reduced.

In addition, astragalus has shown indirect effects that can contribute to kidney protection, such as lower blood lipid levels or lower blood pressure.
