The bergamot extract contained in the product is a citrus plant that originated as a cross between the bitter orange and other citrus plants. Bergamot is very rich in polyphenols, which have a variety of health benefits. Among these, they have a positive influence on cholesterol and blood lipid levels. Scientific studies show that Citrus Bergamot can reduce harmful LDL cholesterol levels by up to 36 %, while increasing healthy HDL cholesterol levels by up to 40 %1,2.
Furthermore, Citrus Bergamot appears to have antioxidant properties that may influence the oxidation of LDL cholesterol.
